Would be a good idea to wait for those boards then huh

In my opinion, I would. I wouldn't knowingly buy an erroneous board even though it's something with USB 3.0 (I'd have to look up what was exactly wrong with it in the first place to remember).

Is the Haswell going to be worth it for desktops?

I've been reading that its mainly going to shine in laptops and that it really won't be a huge upgrade from the ivy bridge aside from hyperthreading purposes.

Depends on what you're going to do mainly.

It will be able to overclock a hell of a lot better than Ivy Bridge. Less power draw (some will argue different). And again generally 10-15% performance.

It mainly focuses on the better IGP as well as being a "Tock" chip.

If you're going to sell yours, I would just get haswell when C2 stepping boards come out. I wouldn't go for it if you have Ivy.

Its mostly for gaming and medium multi tasking, sometimes video work but not really. I really want to push it though, I plan on getting a custom loop and pushing the chip to its maximum.

I heard the sandy bridge over clocks a lot better than ivy. I was looking at the 3820 SB for over clocking specifics, but then again there really isn't a way to see what Haswell can do until it comes out I guess.

Definitely won't be using on board graphics though... Lol

Yeah, I wouldn't use onboard either.

Not sure if I can find the one where it was overclocked to 5 ghz with less than 1 volt. I believe it was right around 0.94 volts.

Holy low volts

What's the stock voltage on that thing?
