Why don't you ever type like normal people and use actually sentences? At the very least use entire lines. Besides that he can go to other forums, look up his GPU, and see what speeds other people are getting to give him an idea of OC numbers.

It might give him a general idea, but each piece of silicon will get you different numbers, sometimes they can fluctuate quite a bit.

No I know that. I meant a general ballpark idea. Also Ghot was telling me there is a website that you input all the numbers, serial numbers, etc. It tells you what batch your CPU/GPU came from, when it was made, etc. Then you can look up what others have gotten with that exact device and compare numbers.
Not sure on the name, I'd PM him as he knows more details on the process than I do.

No worries mate. I know it gives a ball park idea but not a set in stone idea. That's how I got my CPU to 5GHz. Set to 3.4 atm as NN speed.

I agree Heaven is a good benchmark. You can also look here: http://www.overclock.net/t/643993/software-for-quick-gpu-benchmark/0%5F20

BF3 has reactive armor?... no way.. do the physics behind it actually work? Besides Abrams don't use reactive armor so it must be a Bradley.

i also wonder if a better psu sometime would help with OC
i have a Corsair Cx 500 watt

2x dvd drives
1x 750GB WD black hard drive
7x case fans
5-6 USB's plugged in on average ( peripherals )
AMD Anthlon II x3 3.0GHz 440 Rana triple core
MSI Gtx 460 twin frozr II

with this http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine it says recommended 435 psu wattage, corsair cx 500 is just a little above that.
not much head room for OC? i don't know how much raising the MHz would up the wattage.
