These work wonders, even my old 5650 gpu laptop with overheating issues can run alright under strain if it's on a decent fanpad.

If you are looking for a cooler pad, just go for which ever one has the biggest bestest fan. Literally allt hat matters is how much airflow it can generate so don't get caught up with the LEDs and other crap.

laptops are overheating and then you need to restart it by the power button because everything froze up and it damages the hdd.

This is what's happened to my laptop (currently off at warrenty repairs) because it ran so fkn hot when trying to play games, even when I capped the FPS, it's life span was reduced by a lot. First it started freezing and blue screening all the time then it started freezing before windows finished loading.

And this was all using the laptop on either a desk or a cooling bad with a gigantic fkn fan. Infact I had to stop using it on a desk becasue even then it didn't get enough air flow. I used it on my lap which was a lot better (keeping air intake well away from my legs), since the fan was hanging in open space it got substantially more air than on a desk.

TBH it's absurd that even under ideal conditions many laptops run so hot that it's slowly causing them damage. Which is why my next laptop is going to be an Asus G55vw.
