Realy? How can 1920 * 1080p be full when you can buy a 2560 * 1600p monitor? Is that a "Filled-over-Full HD' monitor then?

And will Panasonic later this year release a "Twice as Full HD" tv then?

actually 1080p is called full-hd. 1600p is just called beyond full-hd

its beyond hd. HD is the standard for 1080p. anything abouve that is considered above hd.


sure its not cemented so it oculd change in the future but as of right now full hd = 1080p

Here are the standards:
HD Ready = res 720*1280 (can also be 1366*768 though this is mostly on laptops)
Full HD = 1920*1080
Beyond - anything above obviously

I always get angry when people call 1080p Full HD. Its like calling core i7 'full core' as if its not possbile to exceed that amount.

They should've called 1080p True HD or Real HD or summin else
