Basically what this website does is attempt to match the song you want by your humming or singing. So far it has been accurate for me, and I was able to find two songs that I've had stuck in my head for a long time--but they had no lyrics. The main one being Tom's Diner - Suzanne Vega.

Give it a try, see if you're able to find any songs you've been searching for.
