Are you guys serious about 794 AR being too low for A1? I solo'd A1 on my monk with a silly amount of 380 AR buffed.
If you plan on farming Act 1, you really don't need this high stats. I'd recommend at least 500~ AR, 35k health, 3k armor, this will be enough to survive it, but of course won't be 100% safe. How much dips you will need depends on your playing style. 8k is the minimum you should have (though, won't be enough for soloing butcher). You won't need LOH as much for A1 if you're using Transcendence. To make healing with Transcendence even better, try looking for a Spirit Stone with the "Life per Spirit spent" affix.
The stats I posted above are the stats that'll easily allow you to do A1 runs in groups, without having to skip any Elites. I'd suggest you to find a group, as it makes everything a lot easier. Playing in a group, your dips won't really matter as much either.
How to increase your damage - look into critical gear. Look for crit chance and crit damage on items. Get a socketed weapon with, if possible, crit damage on it and put an emerald in it.
You can also replace Crippling Wave with Sweeping Wind with Blade Storm to do some extra damage. Generally, I'd suggest you to get at least 15% crit chance and 150% crit damage, it helps a lot with your damage.
