Felt like starting over with a level 1 wizard, no pots, no gear, and seeing how long it takes to fully max. Everyone started out this way, so please don't see this thread as me thinking I'm doing something special. I already know its not. Only posting the journey here because for some strange reason I enjoy reading other people's progression topics.

No real rules to this to make it any different than what anyone else is doing. Only minor thing is I'll only trade for items with items found by the wizard.
Potting as I go, not banking anything other then what I'm trading off. I've never potted a wizard so I might die, but hopefully not.

Just finished leveling to 20 with a butt ugly roll that I'm keeping. All done solo and away from godlands, which slowed me down a bit. Total time this session 37 minutes.

286 mana

So with this roll I'll need about 503def to max.

Next up farming godlands to get my def/speed up and I'll be trying to do as many Forbidden Jungles as possible for a Staff of the Crystal Serpent. Did 1 while leveling with no luck.

Off to a rocky start of about 30 minutes of killing gods without a pot drop. Did a few UDLs and Sprites for 3 wis and 2 dex. Luckily right before posting this I got 2 def to drop. Some random guy gave me horror, dsphere, and robe of masters. Actually found the staff/robe less than a minute later anyway lol. Still, very nice of that guy.

Total time was 55 minutes spread across mini sessions of ~3-10 minutes each.

Finally found a few speed pots and man I can really feel the difference already. I think this was my biggest limiting factor for survival and now I really feel more comfortable. Part of the way into this session I was able to find a Staff of the Crystal Serpent, which I'll be using for a long long time. The extra range is fantastic. Very happy that I don't need to farm that otherwise useless dungeon anymore.



When I first started I only went in a few dungeons because I was getting so unlucky farming godlands. I really wanted to avoid them until I found more def/speed. That was until I remembered how quick sprite worlds can be. I'll be farming them as much as possible now until my dex is maxed.



My fame is going up pretty nicely. I know its going to slow down now, but it'll be interesting to see how much I have by the time I finish maxing.

Oh ya forgot to mention I did my first Oryx. No drops. Not sure if I did enough damage even, boss died early phase 3.

What happens when you die? start over and you can use the vaulted items to rebuild your new wizard? or you have to start from complete scratch again?!? o.O O.o
