It just means:
don't type out your in-game name on the forums (pm it)
don't link things through path of exile forum (that shows your ign)
don't say jsp or fg

be smart

Once it gets back to paul that PoE is banning cause of these forums, how much money you wanna put on the fact paul will remove this section?

its kind of a shame because it isn't exactly paying to win...

if PoE wants to limit people trading outside of their game they need to improve their trading forums.

hmmm well as of the official announcement today I think I'll take a step back and just stick to trading in-game-items for in-game-items until we see exactly how this all pans out.

tons of games dis-allow third party trading etc., but idk those dudes at GGG are just hardcore enough they may be for real about this shizzle.

I don't really foresee any bans happening or anything serious, and here's why...
I think they're just reinforcing the notion that they have a strong stance against pay to win, and that's perfectly fine.
But considering the circumstances, even though the game has been enjoying great success so far, they can't go around banning players left and right, shooting themselves in the foot.
Tons of ppl use jsp, most never buy FG for cash and simply trade here out of habit and convenience. GGG are well aware of this I am sure.

And yea, official trade forums would need some improvements.

Ya pretty stupid.

The trade system in the game is pretty much non-existent.

I would be surprised if they actually banned anybody though.
