Is it possible to get lycanthropy from a wild werewolf? (NOT from aela).

Also, i've NEVER encountered a wild werewolf - is it because i myself am a werewolf?

Wild werewolves are dawnguard specific, unless you have the addon installed you will not see them in the wild.
Only way to contract lycanthropy is through the companions questline.
