i went dual daggers, light armor, sneak, one handed and archery, enough smithing to get make daedric daggers. dual weild daedric daggers plus + elemental fury is enough out of any melee situation ive found, even without sneaking. i usually just rum thru dungeons on my lvl 65 khajit. donty even have to sneak, just hack my way thru lol. also, try attacking while rolling, there is a glitch if you do it repeatedly where you can slice once every roll without stopping rolling, uses no stamina as well. think a vertical swinging ww barb O.o

If you're strictly going for the stealth/ambush build. Try experimenting with some destruction traps (Rune spells). From what I hear, they seem to add a little flavor to a straight bow/thief/hunter build.
