After a couple years of lurking on this subforum with only occasional posts... I've decided to finally publish a walkthrough. Allow me to introduce... BANNON



My Rules
-Hardcore. Thank goodness Bannon has only one life
-All forward progress /players 8, reruns/farming allowed at my discretion (e.g. Countess /players 1)
-Ladder runewords enabled with .txt file
-Not using PlugY (ordinary stash, no Dclone or Ubers for Bannon)
-If a Stone of Jordan found, the first one must be used in the Horadric Cube to socket a rare item - it can never be worn, because Bannon destroys everything you've worked for

My Goals
-Guardian. If Bannon can weasel his way into the White House, surely he can make it to the Throne Room on Hell difficulty.
-Find the classic Necromancer items, Wormskull and Ume's Lament
-War Travelers or nice rare/crafted boots with Fast Run/Walk and Magic Find

My Stretch Goals
-Make Enigma in a Mage Plate or Dusk Shroud
-Find two Stones of Jordan so I can wear one
-Respec to Poison if Death's Web drops

I'm hoping for you to succeed. I would not be too upset if Bannon met an early and nasty demise to some unfriendly beasties

Stealth Base



First set item on the initial /players 8 tower clear

Good luck mate! Necro WTs are quite rare so I'll follow with great interest

Stealth runes on second kill... and look what else we have here! Not like Bannon really needs CBF, but he's a former Goldman Sachs banker so he's all about gathering up things just so others can't have them.



Stealth made. He's collecting gems right now too... again just because he can.



Detroying the working class demons of the Barracks.

New head... thinking about asking Anya to personalize it later. "Bannon's Zombie Head" has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?



New cap as well... popped a chipped topaz in the socket



Then I killed Andariel... but forgot to take a screenshot. I had to move to the first room to regroup and get a couple skeletons, but all was fine.

Putting points almost exclusively into Skeleton and Mastery ATM... totally ineffective here against the scavenger mob



That's more like it... Defiance mercenary of course, because we're trying to get a $54 Billion defense budget approved.
