Hi guys!

I have decided to go for a challenging and strange build using a melee zon that doesn't use skills from the Java or Bowa trees.
Instead she will rely upon the melee weapons available to her, and her trusty shield.
I love the animation of the zon taking wild swings with melee weapons, even if the blocking animation will probably be my downfall with this character. I've tested this build out and at level 99 with perfect gear it is still a huge grind in Hell.

As always, I am very open to feedback and commentary/discussion about my build and future choices.


Rules:

-Single player
-Hardcore
-/players8 (except countess re-run)
-Plugy for extended stash (since this is a gear dependent build)
-Ladder runewords enabled

Goals:

-Make good progress in Hell
-Don't die
-Have a rewarding experience
-Gear goals: Grief PB, Stormshield, Fortitude, Guillaume, Highlord, String of Ears, Raven, Gore Rider, LOH gloves

Thanks! I am going to pay for this one. The amazon take 17 frames to block while holding a one handed weapon, and blocking and D/E/A interrupt your attack. I am in for a long ride of this one. Alternately, I could find a really nice rare/unique Dagger like Fleshripper which would get rid of the problem of using a 1-handed swinging weapon. To get to the same blocking speed as using a Javelin, I would need to have 480 faster block rate with a swinging weapon.
