hi guys, since i started recording all of my gameplay of diablo 2 a while ago, i received several pms asking how i record, what programm i use, etc.
that`s why i decided to write this short summery about it.
i use OBS (open broadcaster software). it`s free and can be used for streaming too, while offering a lot of options.
instead of writing pages over pages about what to do, i just put my configs here.
after downloading and installing it, this window opens when starting the programm. in the left window you can add scenes, as you can see, i have one scene for every game i record. in the right window you add and select the sources to record from.
this is what you get, when i right-click on your added source and choose properties. i play diablo 2 in window mode thats why i chose "window capture" when i added the source:
at first i had some problems with lags during recording, maybe because my laptop is over 4 years old
i then kept reducing the quality of the recording until the lags stopped. following now my complete options:
