I feel like he should be able to survive by himself, but he dies pretty often still. He's using vamp gaze, insight and treachery. I'm a hdin, how can I improve him?

and isn't the whole point of getting the insight to help with the mana regen for spamming hammers?

what are the insight/treach in? the bases help out a lot.

if the weapon isnt elite he wont deal as much damage or leech as much. and a good treach base can give some def, which is pretty useful for mercs

insight is in a partizan and treach is in a russet armor, defence is low on it, like 250 something.

Upgrade insight to eth cv or ca get him a fort. If you are goon on mana regen then get what others said above. Eth reapers But then again it's all based on personnel preference.

no, why suggest the slowest base speed weapons? Cv also has a retarded str req (for lvl 82 merc)

this is your problem, these are both terrible bases. If you expect your merc to have any chance of staying alive you need to use an elite eth polearm for insight and a better base for treachery unless you decide to swtich to a reapers toll/guilame setup.
