Currently running a trap assa and im having lots of fun! Moving into act 5 nightmare (hardcore/P8 at all times) without too much trouble yet.
They're pretty straight forward, got alot of very versatile skills like Cloak of Shadows (renders all ranged mobs pretty useless) and Mind Blast (which will help you alot against lightning immunes and elite packs.
Level 1-30 was probably the toughest since it's very dependent on finding a decent claw - traps are pretty useless and not really worth it before you hit level 30.
From level 30+ it's been a cake-walk. Merc (with insight) and Shadow Warrior tanking, traps in background, awesome run speed and generally fast clearing!

Edit: I think trap assassins struggle troughout most of hell though, since dealing with Lightning Immunes might prove impossible without an infinity. Maybe you will have to farm Mephisto NM so you can attempt a hybrid.

God no.. As I said, traps are pretty useless and not worth skilling untill you hit 30. Unless you wanna play with fire traps ofc.

its just that i feel like fire traps are extremely powerful up to lvl 30. in a p8 wt, its still easy to just poke shit with your starting katar until lvl 18, and after that wake of fire just dominates norm/nm

What about hell? Light traps/Fire bombs combo?

trapsins would need to rely on mindblast, fireblast, and a strong merc, and then once a few monsters fall the CE from death sentry will make quick work.

alternatively a lot of people skill some kick too so they have some phys damage to deal with li
