Hey Guys just looking for some tip/comments/suggestions.

Currently running a pure Frozen Orb sorceress (still only in NM). Now running it pretty easily and looking to move to hell so wanting to go dual element.
I am using shako/vmagi/tal ammy/tal belt/dwarf/raven/mfists/ww's/upd visc socketed with pdia.
Went with a max block build since I play hardcore. I am also using energy shield (1pt) and maxing telek.
I have about 10 hard points in tele so that I basically have unlimited teleing and no need for mana pots (will change when I respec with better equip)

I now have full tal rashas set that I plan on using (sexy IMO)
Should I go spirit monarch with 35%fcr (to hit 105% bp), but no way I'm getting max block with that.
Also just found some travs.
No torch yet, but will likely be picking one up soon.

Just curious whether I should go max block with my visc or re-roll spirits until my eyes bleed to get that 35%fcr monarch. What boots/gloves do you recommend?
Also what skills? I'm thinking the obvious cookie cutter meteorb, just will be running hell. I would love to be able to do chaos and/or baal, but no I don't want to make it a lightning sorc (they are great but not too fun to play for me).

I suggest fireball/frozen orb. Better dps when you manage the skills correctly.

50% block is sufficient to survive, but my preference is to keep the % block on the shield itself(67% for a Stormshield if I'm not mistaken on a sorc).

I think running spirit vs stormshield is a bad idea on HC. Where else will you be getting physical dmg % reduction on a full tal sorc? Tried and true method is a full tals sorc with Stormshield for me.

Travs are standard mf gear and pretty decent. Treks for more fhr+stats if you need em.

Visc is a great shield but not a good choice for hell.

Gloves are pretty wide open as far as choices go. Bfists are even a viable choice if your fhr is lacking.

edit : Forgot to add drop that ES immediately. 100% useless in 90% of the situations you run across in PvM. 50% of the time?

mb i didnt read your full post.

if its pvm youre best off not getting es and going full vit, i dont think block is worth the dex investment with a spirit (and spirits the best you can get on a sorc)

just go all vit with a spirit. get magefist for the fb/meteor damage and fcr to help you hit the 105 bp
if its mf travs are the best boots, otherwise id use ww or aldurs for general pvm

this is kind of what i was thinking, love the spirit as its cheap and great +'s for the build, just no dr and no blocking.

this is actually the guide i was following, until I started wondering spirit vs stormshield, max block vs not, ES vs not....etc It didn't get into great deal about a comparison between then, and also the guide isn't specific to hardcore. nonetheless though I appreciate the link and it is great information

+1 for vita and spirit for hc play.

es is only useful if you build around it using pdr gear, like gerkes and sol runes while using an insight merc. Overall for pvm I'd pass in favor of a 2nd element.

Thanks Master Zappy! That build does look like it could be fun. I was thinking of making an hdin to be my "kill anything in the game" character....but now after talking to more people they have started convincing me of going the lightning sorceress route...might be purchasing an infinity in the near future lol shit might start getting real soon...
