I'll turn on ladder rw by text file at some point. I just re-installed D2, so I won't worry about it until NM.



There are a number of builds that I considered. I think a blood crafted barb or fury wolf would have been interesting. Also, caster crafts will probably carry a sorc or windy.



I'll settle for usable.



Andy is probably my best bet in the early game for gems. Then normal LK for gems and jewels.

I think, with a craft only wt, I would be hitting up norm/nm LK.

I will absolutely live in NM LK. But there is little difference between farming Andy and farming norm LK. Here's why. To craft javs, you need a Sol Rune. I'm not going to have access to a steady supply of those until NM Countess, so I'm basically going to have to live with white javs until then unless one drops. Ammy and Rings are also out of the question.

However, I can put together starting gear for everything else pretty efficiently before finishing A2. Here's a list of the craft recipe runes and ilvl for the required magic item (in parentheses is the clvl needed to gamble them). I'm at level 22 right now, so I can get most things on the list without leveling again. I only have 2 jewels currently, so I'll start with armor and shield.

Breast Plate - Eth - 18
Kite Shield - Nef - 15
Gauntlets - Ral - 27 (23)
Greaves - Ort - 27 (23)
Crown - Ith - 29 (25)

Progress is going to be slow because my time is limited in playing. Don't expect a big push to NM, but I'll get there eventually.

I ran Andy and gen shrines for a bit, but I realized that the quest bug doesn't work for gem drops or I didn't bug her correctly or I have the worst luck. Anyway, I decided to finish Act 2.

These are the highest damage javs I've had. So excited.



Stashed. Up to three of these now.

Put 4 additional hard points into PS to get my damage up on CS, so pot chugging my way through.

Staff.

Got back to town to cube the staff, and thought I hadn't picked up the ammy. I was wearing it.

Had cubed a flawless emerald, so shrine hunting again.



Armor time. Starting with armor because the HFD is as close as I'll get to CBF all game. Fingers crossed.



And it's crap, but it's my first craft, so I'm wearing it.

Better damage for the merc. So jealous that he gets to use real items.



Let's kill Duriel.



This was the easiest Duriel fight. He locked on to my defensive merc, so I could poison him and then poke away. Took about 45 seconds. (Take that normal.) This will suck hard later on.

My LK map is awful, and I refuse to TCP/IP to redraw it. I'm thinking ROF is the next best place to farm gems. Any other ideas?
