If you think blizz can chaos faster than light sorc I have a bridge I’d like to sell you.
Your spec would be wrong. If you have enigma set up use that > Tals for light.

Light is very weak without gear on p8 he's probably not even hitting 25k
I re-run on P1. She does hit 25k, 117fcr etc. But without griffon/better gear, she's quite slow. People really do over-estimate light sorcs, simply because they are used to botted gear (griff -20, 5/-5 facet gear, 7-8x light sk, etc.)/It's what people keep quoting without having actually tested/crunched them.
While yes, fully optimized blizzard sorc vs fully optimized light sorc (I've run tests with editor), light sorc is
marginally faster. On average, it's
almost no difference, when you factor in the average amount of Unbreakable light immunes (happens more than ppl realize). On P1, cleaning just seals and diablo, blizzard is arguably faster. Full clears, lightning gets better (mostly due to the amount of immune knights, and the fact that they run fast as hell...).
Fully optimized blizz sorc means 240% eth reaper 40/15ias, guillame's cham, 160ed/60ias 100life armor for 75ias bp, cbf and great crushing blow. CB get exponentially better with higher settigs vs Seis and D.
P8, light sorc just "rush to dia", still noticeably better, but it's not a huge deal, especially if you factor in unbreakable immunes. Optimized, P8 rush to seals/dia (like you would do in baalruns where u are running chaos), factoring in unbreakable immunes that take time: the difference between a light sorc and a blizz sorc is something like 2 to 3 seconds. That's on a ~1min run.
So is it faster? yes, in most scenarios. Is it better? that depends. In a baalrun setting, imo, if you got a javazon as a D killer, throne room killer, the COLD damage will help more in throne/baal than another source of lightning dmg

Plus, you can freeze wave 3 before Hydras - something a light sorc can't. On top of that the blizz sorc is: More sturdy (which both will be in optimized gear settings though) and has room for high MF, without losing speed.
People are really linear about lightning sorcs vs blizz sorcs and doesnt really make up their own minds, just go by old truths.
