Updates!Tried some bonefarming during this week, but it sucked.
For those who do not know what bonefarming stands for, here is the fun fact:
Quote (Old Lurker Lounge Forum from 2000)
This is a growing known trick that is now shameful everyone will know. It will be over-exploitted and is quite a threat to game balance. When you do it the first time, you get a random drop of items. The next time you do it in the same spot you will get the same TYPE, howver could change into a magical or unique or rare or set or normal (whatever it was before). So, one could get a good drop of say, Ancient Armor and some gems. Keep doing it and maybe eventually get Silks of the Victor and lots of perfect gems. They would also get lots of money for the ancient armor everytime. I wish whoever found it kept quiet and just told blizzard. Also, the Bone Wall matches an Act 4 treasure class so no matter what act, will drop act 4 style items.

Bone wall bug (Update: 8-13-00)
Details: OK, listen up Necromancers!
I have received several updated versions of the bone wall bug.
Here's exactly how you do it:
- Go to the Rogue Encampment in Act 1 (best if in Hell mode).
- Step out of town and fill your screen with bone walls. Use as much mana as possible.
- Walk back into town and wait for the walls to collapse.
- Return to the location of the dead bone walls and loot away!
I have tested this myself and it does in fact work. The loot ranges anywhere from unique items to perfect gems.
By comparison here is my result:

One fucking gem after a dozen attempt.
During this time I could have obtained 10 times more usable stuff in Act4. Okay I did not expect a rain of items, but one single gem is disappointing.
Maybe I did it wrong. If someone knows the trick, please enlighten me!
