Personally I started with a kick/trap assassin. Here's why i think it is good:

- You can do really good trap damage without good gear. tons of synergies + corpse explosion = mass killing

- Dragon talon = a lot of physcial damage for a small amount of invested points. This takes care of lit immunes and can also kill ubers without needing much expensive gear

- Without good gear and charms, good resistances in hell are hard to achieve. Fade solves this.

nice thanks m8! This sounds like a fun char to start with, know what skills to max?

Iso more opinions plz!!

Depend of your playing style but here's some of the one I like:

1- Summon Necro: Cheap, easy to play but a bit slow

2- Trapsin: Cheap, fast leveler and can perform well at high level.

3- Cold sorc: Harder to play at the beginning but your effort will be paid.

Good luck.

the find item barb is tough to start with bcz it isnt too great at killing stuff on it's own

tough start? a baba can easily manage act1 and 2 without being skilled and using the garbage he finds to hit with standard attack. travi-act5 rush is a matter of <5minutes for usual sorc most do it free anyway. and when baaled to lvl 40 you get rushed to hell dia for your baal quests norm/night. there you are horking in CS until you feel like starting on your own.
y, its no char to play with. as mentioned it will run behind the killers and hork the corpses. i would max BO for this, put 1 in the usual (taunt, frw, resis...) and save up ~40 points to allocate later when i feel like having enough gear to kill travi on my own. then u can decide wheter you kill yourself and build frenzy or ww or zerk, or if merc kills (gz gear needed or play in nightmare) then its about high leap and warcry ti stun. dont max find item for it has diminishing returns.a gf barb will never be useless, evryone should have one.

i actually think sorc is better because you can run chaos etc in nightmare with shit eq. but you said you have done that so i didnt have to tell you.
Also you will want to rebuild your sorc after a while and thats a "break" in getting wealthier (yk, all that playing norm and night). the usual (=merc does killing) GF baba doesnt give a fuck if 50 stat points are set wrong.

Lightning Fury/Freezing Arrow zon is also do-able when starting from scratch. You can probably get some titan's for a handful of pgems and any bow will be ok with freezing arrow. I used Lycander's Aim on mine for quite a while which I also got for a bunch of pgems.

I think there is a build floating around in the stickies, but the basics are this:
20 Lightning Fury (main skill for monster bashing)
20 Charged Strike (boss killer)
20 Freezing Arrow (for anything immune to lightning, works great with pierce)
20 Cold arrow (damage synergy for FA)
1-5 points in Pierce to bring the piercing chance to 67% after a bunch of +skills, which is level 9 pierce. Razortail later will bring that up to 100%

Basic "must have" gear are Titan's Revenge because of +skills, huge quantity and replenishes quantity. Expand from there looking for mainly +skills, -enemy resistances, mana leech, mana after each kill (LF and FA burn through mana like crazy), and a Razortail. 100% piercing boosts the damage from great to insane and works incredibly well with LF and FA.

wow sounds like fun.

Yeah hekmeck I tear shit up with meterb starting out but i'm bored doing that but now it's either zon or barb. Still leaning twords barb cause il put a few into increased speed to sprint to bosses one I get a few better items of leeching in chaos

Ty everyone
