Already installed Path of Exile and create my character...

But every time I enter a game my entire screen lags and flashes lights. Sometimes it goes completely dark. I've already died four or five times from monsters I can't even see. Sometimes I can see my character.

I'm at the starting point. Most of the time I can see water. How do I stop the lag and blinking lights so I can actually enjoy playing the game?

Do I need a high-end PC to play this game like Diablo 3? Because if so then I must wait. I'm able to play Diablo 2 just fine.

already tried to set everything that aplies to performance in the options menu @ lowest?
