So i've found a armor ilvl 50 and got lucky to get 6 sockets aswell as 5L on it.
I know that the Ilvl on the item determinates how many sockets it can get, but does it count for links too, provided i have a 6 sockets?

The amount of links is equally proportional to the number of sockets.

In other words, whatever number of sockets an item has, it is possible to link them all.

close, the number of links an item can have is the number of potential sockets it can roll at a certain ilvl

ilvl doesnt matter on links. any 5s will be able to 5l etc.

although im starting to doubt that my 6s shiver can be 6l'd

though i'll stick with the 5L even though it has 6 sockets, it'll probably take thousands of fusings
