I took 6 years of german 4 in highschool and 2 in uni, english is indeed difficult, i've met many esl students who have trouble communicating in a non-proper way,
conjugation makes languages easier as there are definitive rules for each situation
nn attacks on my country either, its not "patriotism", protip: a lot of countries have english as a main or secondary language
yeah, i told the patriotic thing because of the sig that brought the discussion up, idc for countries, lol
still, the point was about the "difficulty" that english brings compared to spanish or vice-versa
you should speak german, ofc, but i don't understand how that adds so you can tell the difference between latin laguages and anglo saxonic ones
and what a romantic language is supposed to be?
and all of my american/english english teachers, even the ones that lived over 10 years in brazil couldnt speak some sentences properly, though i find myself the troubles that the students you mentioned have
maybe is not about a language beeing harder than the other, but to respect each language and know that culture and knowledge never is good enough
