Hello everybody, this is the first time I have ever been on this section of the forum.

I have been reading through some of the topics/posts in this forum and I find it quite intriguing. Of course I have never cooked anything in my life, aside from the few oddball items. (Yes I was spoiled in that sense)

So on May 31, I am moving out with a room-mate. I am 19, so it is my first time moving out. I am looking for some simple meal ideals that are not too hard, but they look/taste great. Feel free to write up long messages, as if i find your information useful, I will gather some forum gold and tip you appropriately. Any recipes are good, from breakfast, dinner, supper, deserts, to simple snacks.

Also, I don't know if bar-tending is in this section. But I just got a bartending job, I start on Tuesday, and I have no prior knowledge, so anything you can contribute would be spectacular, also willing to tip depending on information.

Please note, I will only be tipping if:

1) It has to do with everything stated/ and is somewhat thorough
2) If it has been said before, feel free to add to it. But do not post the same thing. ( that being said, if you add something major to the other post, I will tip you as well)
3)Try to be as detailed as possible, and don't just copy/paste from google. I want your true ideals.

I try to stay away from fast food, I have't had Mcdicks in over a year. So I want to keep it that way. I am intending to buy fresh fruit and all that fun stuff, so include smoothies and any great recipes you can think of. (P.S) I really like carrots ;)

Easy breakfast recipes can just be some yogurt mixed with granola and some fruits (whichever you like better)
That's healthy, easy and tastes amazing :)

As for desserts carrot cake is pretty simple to make :)
Just gotta mix the ingredients together and its yummy.
Also, if you have any ideas of things you like, the internet is FULL of easy step by step recipes to follow.

Anyone can cook.
And don't worry, practice makes perfect.

Just follow the recipe to the T if you are nervous in the kitchen.

Simple things I like to make is
7 layer dip.
youre litterally just throwing things on top of things
doesn't really take any brain work. or you can just find it already prepared in the store

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/lucky-7-layer-dip-recipe/index.html

^ imo takes too much effort
but if you want a "classical" recipe that should do

What I do is:
take a can of traditional refried beans,
-
spread it on the bottom of your dish ~ 1/4 of an inch
take some lettuce shred it up and lightly throw it on top of that
Olives slice them and thow it on top of the lettuce
Cheese at your discretion, shredded cheese works, But I enjoy using queso dip.
-note, if using queso dip vs shredded put that on top of the beans
chop up some tomatoes
throw it on there
chives
etc.

yup. thats pretty much it...

and You're a guy, I'm sure you know how to make a sandwich lol ;)

Oh, whats my guilty pleasure is,
POTATO SKINS ♥

They taste AMAZING,
take a while to make... mainly just the waiting time for the potatoes in the oven but they are sooo YUMMY (:
