Mead is really simple and much harder to screw up, you basically just add honey

Expect the results to be underwhelming, remember it's fairly primitive

Also if you like that old style, look into Gruit

I know someone who started some Mead a few weeks ago, I'll let you know how it turns out when it's time

I'm about to do a Rye IPA all grain brew, as well as a Chilean Malbec. Will keep you posted

nice. havent done any rye myself but mainly all i have brewed has been IPAs. just recently made my own mash tun from a 10 gallon cooler and a few months ago i got a kegging system and "remodeled" my mini fridge.

atm i have a bells two hearted clone on tap, but im thinking about trying to do a schwarzbier. personally havent lagered at all, so ill have to read up a bit on that.

It's kind of an expensive hobby to get into, at least for 5+ gallon batches. So I'd maybe not do it unless you plan on doing multiple batches or have some make shift equipment
