i honestly dont know why people buy the canned crap, but my one of my friends had a jar of that junk for over 6 months before he had to throw it out. just keep it in the fridge and it should last a while.

The jars of chopped/minced garlic are fine. Maybe not as awesome as fresh, but they last a long time and they beat garlic powder.

i was in the store the other day and noticed tubes of garlic/herb pastes in the produce section. looked interesting, although they have other stuff as additives to get the desired texture and preservatives. not gonna try em, cuz i dont want that crap, but its an interesting alternative to fresh/frozen/jarred.
