yeah its pretty fragrant, especially if you use five spice which has star anise, cloves, fennel seed, and cinnamon. plus pork fat.

so i guess since you dont eat pork, your use of the word drowning has negative connotations :(

I only buy pork belly for shoyu ramen. It's easy and I'll have plenty of leftovers, which is good 'cause I love me some ramen.
