The Palapk Nation Melee Championship 2014
(August 26th through December 31st)Welcome to the 1st Annual Palapk Nation Melee Championship. This ladder is the ultimate competition! Players will be awarded points based upon 1v1 GM Duels throughout the next few months and on January 1, 2015 the player/d2jsp user with the most points wins the grand prize and bragging rights as d2jsp's Top GM Melee Player. Tuesday @ 9:30 p.m. ET. The winner receives
150 FG and
100 FG is spread out between the participants, randomly (always accepting donations to make the pots bigger of course). I will keep track of the points, but I ask that at least 1 person reports the results to me (if you wish to do this please let me know and I'll give you 10 FG per report). In my opinion, writing down everyone who is there BEFORE the duels start would be ideal. I will not be participating in these events right away until my character is finished. My main responsibilities are hosting the event and supporting the FG prizes.
Reporting Method1. The top 3 players of that specific Tuesday need reported to me.
2. The list of players who all attended/played of that specific Tuesday need reported to me.
* I prefer this list by the D2 character name for a little "in-game identity". For the FG prizes, it'll be the players responsibility to come here and collect the winnings (verification required if player not known by others). Once I get everyone's account information together it will be easier and eventually posted with all accurate information. I eventually would like to have: d2jsp account name, D2 account name, D2 character name and type of build. So, in the meantime you can always PM me this information to obtain your FG prize quicker. * Will be paid on January 1, 2015. Subject to change as donations will most likely occur. The final pot has the potential to reach over 10,000 FG.As for the rules, all d2jsp traditional GM melee rules are mandatory. For a understanding of the rules please click here. All main GM melee character classes are welcome, i.e. Druid, Barbarian and Paladin (not sure if anyone would use another class). If there's anything you have questions on please post and I'm sure the community and/or I can help. Anyone caught using BM items or acting BM will be banned from tournament play. Please report this stuff to me and I'll address it. ALL members of the d2jsp community are welcome! Spread the word! If you're interested in joining please join D2 channel "Op Palapk_Nation" every Tuesday evening at 9:15 p.m. ET. Anyone can then make a private game for all players to join. If we get enough players for two games, Palapk Nation will pay out both games accordingly. To make things easier, posting your information in this thread would be great. Read above for what information is required.Ultimately, this Ladder is to give everyone the opportunity to compete every Tuesday, win some FG, make some mature/mannered friends, and keep the melee community alive! If at any time you wish to donate to the pot, please send me the FG and either label it as "Tuesday Tournament Donation" for the daily Tuesday events or label it "Melee Championship 2014" and I'll add that to the final pot. Updated ladder rankings will be posted every week by Friday. If you don't have a character now, make one! You all have ample time to create, tweak and duel for the crown!
