I'm going to try to start this up one more time, if no one's interested again I'll let it die. This is a ladder for attack-rating based elemental damage attacks, such as power strike on a zon, fireclaws on a druid and vengeance on a pally. I thought it'd be cool because these builds don't work as well in standard PvP but they're not allowed in melee. Rules are:

-No more than one elemental aura item equipped at once (dream, dragon, HoJ)
-No doom or holy freeze.
-No use of an elemental damage aura and conviction at the same time.
-No more than 1.5k physical damage
-No more than 15% deadly strike (since this only applies to physical and berserk damage)
-No more than 15% crushing blow
-No more than 15% open wounds
-No more than one point in critical strike for zons
-No more than 600 elemental damage in charms (your elemental damage must be skill-based)
-No more than 85 of any specific resist.
-No absorb, with the exception of ravenfrosts.

I can't think of anything else. I think this would be fun, but last time I suggested it people didn't seem to agree. Let me know if you're interested (it's not like any of these builds would be all THAT expensive to make anyway and it'd be fun to dick around).

Melee sorcs I'm torn about because of the aura damage. But eh, sure, I'll let them in.

Lol. You'll have to be more specific, but I'll try to clarify. Skills like fire claws or power strike deal elemental damage (fire, lightning) but they can be blocked and their chance to hit is based on attack rating (as opposed to skills like charged strike, which releases a number of charged bolts that will hit you if you are in the way, no matter what, and cannot be blocked). These skills don't work all that well in normal PvP because, let's face it, if you're using a melee attack and don't have charge or teleport in pvp, you're sort of screwed. But they also can't be used in normal melee ladders because they deal elemental damage. I want to make a ladder for these builds.

Eh you see a fireclaw around occasionally. But yeah, I'm assuming that most people would have to make a character for this ladder and not have one lying around. I know I would. However they're relatively inexpensive and a lot of fun to play with. It involves a whole different gear set and priority set compared to normal melee or normal pvp (no dr, but max block, no frw, but high resistances, etc).
