2011 looks to be a great year for melee. Should be exciting.

Seems like its gonna be tough for me to place top 3 but im ready for the awesome duels from pn

Absolutely. Now that we've established a foothold here, we can track and get schedules + view the hall of fame at the same time.

Speaking of which, the next Palapk Nation Melee Tournament is scheduled on Monday, January 3rd, 2011 at 7:05 PM via channel Op Palapk_Nation. An entry fee of 5.00 to 25.00 FG (More FG is always welcome for an extra donation to the pot if applicable) will be requested before the tournament begins. Acting Secretary of Melee Jessy will take all entry fees.

This year, PN Melee Tournaments will not be using the point system during double-eliminations. I believe the point-system is unethical because double-elimination is called "double-elimination" for a reason... To lose two sets and be eliminated...not for everyone to lose 1 set and count up points...where no one loses double...? FFAs determine whom duels whom and if you're not one of the last two players standing after two set losses, that player is "eliminated."

Palapk Nation allows all players to gear before each duel. There is no limit. No one can gear and then quickly ask to gear again. That's double-dipping.

Another thing to note is, it IS technically legal for a player to gear right after his opponent gears to effectively "counter-gear" a player. This is legal because both players have the option to gear before each duel. ...And if one player uses their gear, the other player has all the right to use his gear option as well. It's quite good strategy sometimes.

I hope everyone's interested in this and I hope to see much more than 12 players in Op Palapk_Nation next week on Monday at 7:05 PM.

was a awsome restart I will miss the tourny on the 3rd ill be in Atlanta Ga for the new year.

unless i can figure out a way to create a wireliss hotspot on my new smart phone and use my notebook lol

you can usb a smart phone to a notebook and use it as a modem aka internet anywhere through ur phone on ur laptop but u must have unlimited net on ur phone but it shouldnt be a problem google it and figure it out now so u will be set

I didn't know there would be a tourney tonight or I would have been there. Rest assured you can expect to see my pally "Donazal" and my barb "Condorf" in the top 3 many times this comming year. I may enter them both in same tourney witch would be cool to place top 3 with them both. Neways goodluck to everyone who joins these tourneys and remember to just have fun out there cause thats what it is about among friends.

sucks that i cant make tourny except the weeks they decide to give me tuesday off (my tuesday = ur monday)
