2015 Level 30 Summer Ranged Tourney

Date: Tourney Begins on August 1 or after 16 players have entered, whichever happens first. Minimum of 8 players needed for me to host. All tentative and subject to change.
Entry free: 100 fg. No Refunds Once you pay that's it. If you quit or drop from tourney money stays in pot.
Prizes: FG will be distributed in a 60/25/15 split between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Donations are welcomed and will be added to pot.

Format:
This will be a round robin. Every player will play every other player. Rounds will be FT 5. 1 win = 1 point so even if you lose the round you still earn points towards your total. 1 extra point awarded for anyone who 5-0 their opponent.
Once every player has completed their matches the players with the top 4 point totals will compete in "finals" matches. 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. The winners of those two matches will compete for 1st and 2nd place and the losers will compete for 3rd and 4th place. Depending on total number of players entered

Info:
To be a valid contender your character must be lvl 30. All duels will be in bloodmoor (normal difficulty). A ref/witness may be used/requested if both players do not trust each other. Contestants are expected to do the preduel check as follows: Gear and inventory must be inspected before first duel and anytime gear is swapped from stash. Players will drop belt outside of town and should drop 12 scrolls (or less depending on belt), thereafter this number should drop each time they die. Both players (and ref/witness) must post total score and who won.

Rules:
General Rules:
1) No Pots of any kind/No wells/No shrines
2) No +Max Res% (i.e. hotspurs)
3) No Holy Freeze or Slow of any kind
4) General l8zing rules, extensive use of walls or houses to run. Running to replenish.
5) No Prebuff (cube BO allowed if cube is in inventory)
6) No use of charges other than tele sticks
7) Both players must say G before casting any attacks
8) All spots in belt will be filled with identify scrolls
9) No 3rd party programs of any type
10) If you town or drop its a LOSS
11) No eth items w/o rep (Eth Frosties/Bonesnap allowed)
12) 25 life rep maximum (15 rep max on paladin using medi or sorc using energy shield)
13) Both players must start between 1-2 screens away.
14) No Cleansing or Prayer
15) No slow missiles. If procs from peace runeword it is allowed.
16) No recasting Cyclone armor/Bone armor/Energy Shield
17) No precasting
18) No hybrid runewords/dupes (even if perm)
19) No bone prison
20) Bone wall is allowed but not to be abused. Players should come to agreement before duel begins.
21) No insight with energy shield
22) No xtransfering gear or respect once duels start


All rules are up for debate but will be set in stone once tourney starts. At that point they can no longer be changed.

-To sign up, use this format: jsp/character name/type of character (For example: Reaperking/Warmachine/WW Barb). Only one char may be entered per person.
-Tournament will end once every contestant has dueled every other. You will be responsible for getting your duels done and recorded in a timely manner. Let's try to get this done in ~2 weeks.
-If a contestant drops or is unavailable for long periods of time they will be dropped from tourney (no refund on entry fee) and all points earned in duels against them will be negated for all players.
-Any jspers suspected of cheating or rigging the tournament through false duel scores will be disqualified. No exceptions. Let's keep it fair and honest guys.

Cool tourney. Never understand why people allow eth bsnap and not other eth weapons though :P. Ban em all or don't ban em imo, esp since eth bsnap is practically the most powerful one you could ask for haha like 350-500 dmg.

Also, I don't know if this needs to be stated or not but Charger has 1 pt in Zeal.

e/ also might be cool to add a bonus for a 5-0 like 6 points instead of 5 for a 5-0 to add a little spice to scoring system.

already added in format 1 extra point if you 5-0 your opponent. also you'll probably be only charger in touney so that rule only benefits you. lol. I'll ban eth bonesnap if other members complain but I don't think it is necessary.

It's not necessary to ban but like... not necessary to have it either... just seems silly to allow one eth weap and ban the rest

But the bonus point will benefit all the WW barbs who 5-0 me for sure.

adding some clarification on rule #22. you are allowed to change gear and respec char all you want throughout the tourney. Gearing/statting char for specific duels I feel is an excellent demonstration of your years of dueling experience. You are not allowed to transfer in gear or respec in the middle of a match though. Once a match starts you can only swap with stash gear.

Buy a foh divine so you won't lose to excellence/gorillaguy/nics/LLD_BAR/nancy_smiter

hmmmm. well all rules are up for debate as stated. honestly how would you regulate is someone respecs their char outside of a match. we would have to make everyone constantly post screenshots of their skill tree.
i'll see what everyone else thinks.

Let me add more than 1point in prayer.

For example, I could enter my paladin as an "all-a-din", and respect to hammerdin when I vs barbs. Too lazy for that ofc, but under current rules I would probably respec to full zeal with 1 pt charge vs barbs.
