Alright as it seems there is no further progress in here , i give it a try to make a ruleset.
Note, lvl 18 dueling is not completely balanced. You all know that paladins are the optimal character class
in 1n1, in 2n2 this will be the same and we need to limit their power.
But i dont want to ban any team combinations and i dont want too many restrictions as this just makes it too
complicated. But we need to find some rules, which make it attractive for more char builds to pop up and play !
Seeing as we are 20-24 players ( which is nice ) we would have about let´s say 10-12 teams.
I would suggest we do every team vs every team and make a chart, with the scoreboard under "tournament rules".
afterwards we could go on the following:
1. 8th vs 1st
2. 7th vs 2nd
3. 6th vs 3rd
4. 5th vs 4th
next round, winner of 1. vs 4. and 2. vs 3. and winner of those go into the grand final.
This seems to be our first team tournament and we should see it as a test. all here is just my suggestion
Tournament rules:
Tournaments are held for fun, see it as that ! It is just a game.
You cannot restat your char during the tour nor use a mule account for it
Lag is not a valid excuse for restarting the duel, unless both parties agree
Duels are ft5 in blood moor. if you cross a bridge, leave blood moor or hide in a house, you autolose.
Every team plays against every other team. Matches will be written in the official topic and points are distributed as follows:
win 5-0 = 5 points
win 5-x (x in {1,2,3,4}) = 4 points
autowin = 4 points
lose 4-5 or 3-5 = 2 points
lose 1-5 or 2-5 = 1 point
lose 0-5 = 0 points
General rules:
01. no hacks, intentional bug abuse (no wsg!), dupes, rage, flame, spam or nk. I would love to underline this 100times,
but i can just do it once.
02. no usage of pots, slowing items, knockback items, tab wands.
03. no jumping or precasting (going back to stash).
04. no defwhoring (repl life and/or regen mana abuse).
05. no more than 75 max res or 25 life replenish.
Char specific rules:
Necro:
max 5 walls per screen.
decrepify, iron maiden, lifetap are banned.
recasting bone armor is not allowed.
our 2n2 Tournament: casting Amp is not allowed when your team partner is a paladin or amazon.
Paladin:
holy frezee, holy bolt, prayer, cleansing are not allowed to use.
our 2n2 Tournament:
-> Pure chargers are not allowed to use.
-> Might Aura is not allowed to use if your team partner is a bow amazon *
-> If you are going to use Might aura, you arent allowed to use more then 1pt into charge and Clegs/Azure is forbidden.
But your team partner can be a phys dmg dealer: for example bf sin, throw barb, kicker... **
Druid:
recasting cycloon armor is banned.
Explanations:
* I made this, as seeing Might makes GA too powerful. But i dont want to ban those teams completely,
so the idea is for example Conz aura is allowed with bowa in team. Conz aura is a lvl 18 skill, means it cant
be skilled alot and giving about ~50%ed @ lvl1 , 120% @lvl5 (maximum with scepter) which is no big dmg increase if you bear in mind what a pala looses
in damage using this.
I had one problem in doing this step, i thought still Conz aura + max charge + maximize your build for dmg + azure/clegs
would still give an overpowered charger, but this would go against rule 1.
So i guess some common sense is needed here.
** This should encourage chars like bf sin , throw barbs , kicksins , maulers .....
It should be tested how powerful a Zeal Paladin is, with scepter instead of clegs/azure but full zeal + full might and just 1pt charge.
More limitations might be needed , but again i dont want too much restrictions and we need to test it.
See my post above as a try to get some progress into the tournament. Dont hate or flame, give constructive criticism please (means think about
the whole system of fair and balanced lvl 18 dueling, not just regarding the char you use. )
Problem again is, we will always find flaws and things to discuss about, lvl 18 dueling is just not quite balanced especially not team duels.
So we somewhat have to agree on something most people can live with and then just start it in order to see what works and what not
clean & clear. i guess these can be accepted by everyone!
feedbacks are welcome
