he had plently of time to respond to my PM's and had many clicks and even at least one post after my 2ed or 3ed pm to him, that is the reason i posted something in the guild threads.
my post in the guild threads asked him to please please pm me, and that all it said. this post was even shown here in the lld section before by someone else.
I did keep it quiet, only 4 or 5 people knew of any of this. I knew, the guy that got the gear knew i wanted the gear as i asked to buy it, i do not remember just what i told him, but i might have told him it was my gear, but i know i offered more for just my gear back then what he paid for the full sorc, spencer (required own family) as i asked him some quesions and he responded, the guy that pm'd me about this to start this whole thing going, and the other managers in the guild as i asked them some quesions as well, and they had no reason to think this would not go as badly as it did.
the 2 managers knew i wanted the thread where required sold the gear, but i did not tell them why at that time. even so i am sure they knew anyway, as this had happened a few months before like this, but then i got the pm telling me about it before it was sold, and could stop it.
then required posted here, saying tons of things had happened to him, most of which i did not know had happened.
then others on west posted in the west trade section as to this matter - then it was just a crap shoot, as to who knew what and when.
ok that is how it happened as i remember it, so what is your next ?
Quiet =/= 4-5 people. Quiet = you and the other person. I'm not sure of Caley's jsp settings but I know that I personally had to set pm's to drop down when I got a new one, so that I saw them. For quite some time I had pm's but didn't know it because it just said Messages: (1 new) at the very top, nothing else. And I would not check it. That's why I said both last seen AND last post. I know I keep jsp and facebook both up quite often. I get facebook chat from people at random times, and then they get mad at me because I didn't respond, when in reality I wasn't anywhere near my computer. What you should have done, was waited until he had posted once or twice to make it public. As for "looking" for his topic, you could have done that yourself. If you go to the forum (probably uswest trading) there is a free search bar at the top. Just put in "required" and you get a bunch of his topics, therefore you didn't need to bring anyone else into it. You chose to involve others by telling them, and by asking them to do what you could do by yourself. The biggest discrepancy here is that you say it was attempted to be sold before, and Caley says it's the first time anything on that sorc was sold. Due to lack of any thread where he tried to sell that sorc prior to the one we are talking about, everyone outside of the situation/bias would have to believe Caley. Truth is, I'm not worried about who did what when where and how. We can go on and on and on for posts about who said what, neither of you have proof of anything.
It all comes down to how much you trusted Caley. If he truly was your "internet son" and you trusted him and would have given him just about any item he wanted, then how did you not trust him enough as to make the situation public(things spread quickly, people talking about it in pub games with others "overhearing" etc.) before he could give you a response? If someone is trusted, they should be given time to explain their situation without outside forces bearing down on them. Prime example is this morning, I got up before classes and checked jsp/fb real quick. I did not read this thread, but my last seen would have been this morning. My last post was still last night, but by your thoughts, I would be ignoring you because I was online after you posted. Now you couldn't have known Zedoac would have done what he did, and maybe he would have stolen everything anyway. You defending him though, is preposterous. Regardless of Caley's intentions, scamming is just an act of selfishness and complete disregard of other people's "property" (<-lol I just referred to pixels as property). Your first response to the situation after Zedoac should have been to do everything in your power to get him back his accounts, and instant removal of anyone involved from LLD. You didn't do that, nor did you shun anything that was done by them. You focused on that worthless circlet that started it all, and tried to distance yourself from Zedoac and what him and your managers did to Caley. Even if it was your circlet, I would have told them it was his so they would give it back, and then tried to work things out with Caley afterwords. Now it comes back to the whole trust thing, did you believe Caley scammed you? That is the only reason I see that you handled it as such, did you not trust Caley so much that you believed he purposely sold a circlet that was yours for his own profit?
