With expansion coming up there is really only one thing to do.. get as many characters to paragon 100 as you can for paragon 2.0

One of the cheapest and fastest ways to do this is the WW/rend skorn barbar!

Spent just over 25M gold on this and does mp10 very well

I made this as cheap as I could while still being effective with buyouts only

Does MP10 just fine, although I had to play a bit carefully sometimes (could only take a mp10 molten explosion or a beast charge if I was 80%+l HP)

The build:

You do not need a fury generator if you play properly in high density areas, to get battle rage up simply hit 1-2 times then let things hit you until you have the fury to cast it

Alternatively at the start of your run simply change a passive to unforgiving until you can cast it then change back passives and farm away! (This is very fast if you have 5 piece IK, 4 fury/second!)

You can change out overpower killing spree for warcry if you really feel you need to, but you shouldnt have to and the extra 10% cc at pretty much 100% uptime from overpower is so good for this build)

group everything together so you get brawler bonus and rend, ww till dead, recast rend after 5 seconds if you need to


Stats I got at Paragon 67:

576/492/562/492/492/492 Resists, 576 physical and 562 fire

5680 Armor

135,863 dps Unbuffed (With passives)

325,456 dps fully buffed

79.5% crit chance fully buffed

469% crit dmg








The gear:



**When gearing nice things to look for: if you are getting HP from an item, always check for life% and lower vit combos that add more/same life but are better deals, bonus armor, physical/fire resists are nice finds and if you can get them for the same or slightly higher price you should**

Nice items to craft in order are : Bracers, Shoulders, Amulets

Crafting VITA shoulders is a good way to get a lot of EHP

Goals from gear:

At least 40k HP, tho preferably 45k

At least 500 all resist

At least 5.6k armor total

At least 10% melee reduction

I ended up going 5 piece IK set because I think going for 3 set is a no brainer for the 9-10% melee reduction, then I looked at boots with movespeed, only good options being IK boots or Zunimassa, and IK was cheaper so I already had 4 piece IK, so i just grabbed an IK helm also

I was aiming for the 1.54 APS breakpoint in wrath, which required 29% ias from gear, 20% after innas, meaning 6/7/7 ias rolls worked fine making those pieces cheaper










Skorn - LIFESTEAL! so that you may use brawler passive! Any lifesteal is fine since you will use IK belt also. A little low on dps, I could have gotten a higher dps one with lower crit hit dmg, but this one provided more damage overall

IK armor - A given, try to get one with a higher armor roll and as much vita as you can, in my case I found a nice lower vita with some life% that was a better deal

IK belt - to get a little more lifesteal and only way to get a potential 220 all resist from belt+armor slot, try to get at least 70 vit here

IK Gloves - some IAS (in my case 6 worked, you will have to plan it out to reach your desired APS breakpoint) and higher strength

IK helm - I needed some more resist so I got some here, could only afford a lower strength roll on this budget

IK boots - 80+vita, 120+strength is fine

Rings (search filter: 4+cc,average dmg, ias, CHD)- I had to get a total of 14% ias from rings so these worked for me, and provided the most damage over trifecta with strength

Amulet (search filter: strength, vita, 50+CHD, 7+CC) again look for lower vita with life% as well, since you might find a better deal like I did, I think its a must to get quite a bit of HP from amulet with this build unless you can get it elsewhere, or your HP will be too low for mp10

Bracers : strength, vit, all resist, 5+ cc is all you need, should just be a temp until you craft a better pair

Innas pants : get just vita here, you will need the HP, 8% ias is fine but keep in mind you will then need 1% more ias elsewhere

Shoulders : 230+strength, vita (or lower vita+life% again), 60+all resist is all you really need, used as a temp until better shoulders are crafted



If you can try to get +armor cheaply anywhere you can, since I ended up with 5.6k armor even with getting armor on bracers/shoulders which is a little low I think





Areas to farm:

Act 1: Festering woods -> Fields of Misery, some do leorics manner after festering to get 5 stack, and/or do Weeping Hollow in their run also

Act 2 : Vault of the Assassin for 5 stack, then Path to the Oasis clearing that whole area and doing Forgotten Ruins when you find it, then clear Eastern and Western Channels (Storm Halls and Desolate Sands also optional)




Upgrades?:

With new expansion items there isnt much need to gear beyond this but if you want to:

Upgrade IK helm to one with high strength and maybe 65+ all resist, you need CC on helm and mempo is just not needed

Upgrade Skorn to 1320+dps/180+crit damage if you get one with high lifesteal (5.7+?) you can think about using a Witching Hour instead of IK belt and aim for a higher APS breakpoint (1.67aps in wrath)

Upgrade Amulet to higher CHD/str, no need for attack speed on amulet

Upgrade rings to ones with str also

Upgrade gloves to trifecta (Possibly not IK gloves if changing to Ice Climbers)

Upgrade IK armor to higher HP/180+str

Upgrade IK belt to 250+str/70+vit

Upgrade Innas to 70+str/70+vita

Drop 5 piece IK and replace boots with movespeed Ice climbers or Zunimassa boots

Crafted bracers

Nice guide :) Did help a friend of mine a lot. We spent about 40mil for a barb like this with similar stats and he's doing pretty well @ mp8/9. Guess with a little practice MP10 will be no problem too. Thanks :)

Works fine. i put together a skorn barb with items i had since a year back, which i asume are worth less than 5m by now. 1.54 aps 500res 50k hp and works great with only3%ls on mp10

i got one question.. i went with the stats you provided and i only have 33k hp(with purple gem on helm)
is there something i miss?

% life and vit probably and Paragon Level :P

ps: try to make up with some higher lvl gems/crafted vit items
shoulders/bracers/amu last item id recommend

I dont suggest under 5.5 lifesteal since some nasty elite packs will give you a lot of trouble, but if it works for you then hey you can get a bunch more dps for same price or even cheaper

low paragon level and lower vita/life% probably, try to craft some nice vita shoulders or just use vita gems in pants if you have to, you want at least 40k hp id say

I am currently going with this build. I do mp8 cool, mp9 is also managable, however mp10 becomes challenging sometimes. I had around 800+ AR with 7000 armor with 11.6 LS with warcry buff and 125k dps. I feel tired to kill elites as those takes times, but defensively I am more or less ok (Mp10 is difficult sometimes and takes huge time to clear). I tried to tweak the set, with dps ones, 2 IK set, reduced armor to 6.5k .AR 550 , hp 40k , dps 160k , LS 3-6% and I keep dying. Any help will be great. If you ever come in EU server, I can show the two sets of gear.

MP10 champ farming with a build like this isn't efficient ime, you just want to basically rush trash on MP10 and kill them with one crit rend. You COULD kill champions, but with a DPS as low as yours I think it'd just be a waste of time.
