Wanted to show how tanky my monk is.

This is not my best VotA spec obviously. Changing FF passive to BoY usually drops the elites more than 5 seconds faster on average.

It's one of my favorite builds Tri-Gen. It's fun to facetank everything.

I just did MP10 because it's the most challenging difficulty that we have at the current state of the game.

When I used to really farm for DEs, I just switched my helm to inna/weapon to skorn/ring to soj, then changed the spec to Skorn/TR/Bell and ran MP7 all day. That's arguably the best for DE farming.

For DW set up, I usually go with this:

This clears VotA faster than Tri-Gen for sure.

This is a fun spec to use for VotA or any other regular farming run.

If I remember correctly, this is the same gear spec that I used for that MP10 5 Second kill video.

This is consistent build for everything pretty much.

From my Ghom kill time testing, this resulted in the fastest kill time with DR Foresight swapped for WofHF BF.

Unlike a lot of monks who post their uber record videos with different build for different set of ubers, I wanted to find the specific skill set that works the best for all three uber sets.

Did couple test runs and worked well so recorded them.

I'm sure I can get the time down more. But the main purpose of video is to demonstrate that one nirvana build can work well against all three uber sets.

Great stuff, thanks for making these guides and vids.

1) Which of those is the best pure bell build? meaning just using bell most of the time as your main attack, along with one of the free melee attacks (ex: thunderclap teleport on left mouse click)

2) Cyclone strike doesn't work well for me. I dunno, i was hoping it was like the baba's Ground Slam -> Wrenching Smash skill where it pulls a lot of em in close really fast but it's not, it sucks

2) Any improvements in my bell monk besides the obvious like better stat gear? http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Mastiff-1986/hero/16900512
She does up to mp5 pretty good, haven't tried higher yet.

I didn't watch any yet, just clicked the skill calculators.


Just watched the vid for nirvana, omg that was awesome!!!!!!

Made this video to show one of my monk friends that this build works pretty well on MP10 VotA. He wanted to see a monk doing 5 MP10 VotA runs without a single death.

I did 4 runs and finished the video because I thought I was done. Reviewed the video right away then realized I was 1 run short. So, I attached the last run at the end of first 4 runs. You can see the time and elite log in the video, I shuffled through it couple times to confirm. Took about 30 mins.

Just to note that if a Monk wants to maximize the DE rate doing solo VotA runs, it's much much better to do it in the lower MPs.

The gears on me is not required to run the build. Just work with what you have.
