Skills Setup

above is the basic skills to use. there are many variations to this skill setup which have to be adjusted to according your gear level/game play. For example,
1)swapping Mantra of Conviction/Overawe to Mantra of Healing/Circular Breathing for perma spam
2)swapping one of the passives to Seize the Initiative or One with Everything or Near Death Experience. On mp7 below, i use full spirit regen passives but there will be a noticeable benefit if i use STI on mp10.
3)swap out one of your skill slots to Serenity, Blazing wrath, Blinding Flash or others according to your needs.

Here are the reasoning to why im using this skills combination.

1)Mystic Ally/Air Ally
-This rune has a chance to give 100 spirit back. With Guardian's Path, monks can get 135 spirit back(which is a lot). I also noticed that it procs fairly well, given it's 2% rate. With high spirit capabilites, you are able to go offensive and nuke with your bells almost all the time.
Air ally is also used to tank mobs/elites or a horde of kamikaze Fallen Manics, so recast them situationally to position them but don't do it too often so as not to interrupt the "chance to proc".

2)Sweeping Wind/Innerstorm
-This is one of the few runes that give monks +spirit regeneration/sec and adds effective dps while you bell them away. Having a 2hander benefits well with sweeping wind because the base dmg is more and gives back more lifesteal which helps you to survive through when frozen.

3)Tempest Rush/Tailwind
-This is used for mobility, offensive and defensive purposes. This allows you to get from packs to packs faster and plough through everything. During combat, tr allows you to chase down elites and slow/knockback them before raining bells on them. This is also needed for you to position around the battlefield faster so you can knockback elites against a wall and "stunlock" them through it. For defensive purposes, you can use it to run out of descerator/plague pool, freeze balls and arcane sentry. This can be more helpful than serenity to run out of chain freeze and arcane sentry discotheque.

4)Fot/Quickening vs Crippling Wave/Rising tide
-Both are really good spirit generator runes. Rising tide gives more spirit with a few swings when you are surrounded by monsters, also has very good debuff on elites and benefits from %cold . I use quickening, though, because I find myself regen my spirit back most of the time when hitting 1-2 monsters around.

All these skills combination synergizes very well with my 2hander bells.

Technical Info about Wave of Light/Empowered Wave
829% Weapon dmg split into 3 hits, followed by a 96% outward wave. Does large AOE dmg to enemies infront and limited range on enemies to your sides/behind.

Gearing
I won't be explaining too much about this because there are so many combination of gears to make this possible. For example, you can use Inna's Vast Expanse for dmg, Blackthorne's Surcoat for the bulk of your EHP or even use Tyrael's Might for the leet 15/4 bonus. Belts are the same where you can use Witching hour, Inna's Favor or Blackthorne. cc Nat ring and Boots(has allres/armor) is good combo too.

What is important is balancing your character stats.

Base stats unbuffed
mp5-7: 150kDPS/35klife/300allres/3300+armor
mp7+:165kDPS/40klife/450allres/3300+armor

Those numbers are just an estimation. I've tested that I could survive decently with that EHP.

You can run 0 spirit regen on gears as the bulk of it comes from skills.




That is all for now. I really love this build and can't imagine me playing without the leet movement speed . Hope I didn't miss anything.

Vouch this build.

Hunter implemented this, and a lot of us monks have used this build for quite awhile already.

This can be used for Ubers on any mp games. Solo MP10 Uber is doable with the build.

THis is one of the fastest high mp farming build for this patch, that's for sure.

nice guide .)

In skill selection, u could mention a Cyclone strike as an optional skill.. works extremelly well with Bell and Rising tide :)
It also confuses monsters, for example maniac not blowing up when intended etc... and feels good to get those ranged creeps together :D

Of course you can. It depends on how you wanna play the game. Solo or team.

Vouch ... this build is super quick and fun.
I have been farming MP7-10 with this build.

I use 4 piece innas and only SR gear is my 1.8 innas helm.
With SW up ... I generate 14 spirit/sec.
Infinite TR and infinite Bells while hitting elites.

I just looked at your guide and I have to admit that I am very tempted to move back towards a 2hander build as a result!
However, I have a few questions. Is it possible you could send me a link of your gear so I can get a general idea if I have the money required to reroll 2hander and how does this build fare in Ubers MP 8-10?

yup this is a good farm build.
Been using since forever and wit the buff bells, works even more nasty.

Highy recommend all monks have both the standard FoT cyclone build items and then a cheap skorn so they can play with the bell experience. (cause really you only need just a cheap skorn and you can bell away. Buyin the spirit regen soj n inna helm is just icing on the cake cause you dont need it if you dont wanna spend anymore then just on a cheapo skorn if you already have a fully decked out Dual Weld setup and feel lame for having to spend a bunch of another set of good items cause you really dont have to on this build.)
And hell, if you wanted, you can even do this build with your dual weld setup and see if you like it first before buyin your skorn. Just the spirit gets burned very fast with a dual weld setup since ur TR too fast for the regen. My friend uses a dual weld bell build with double LS crit socket n 2+ spirit regen 9xx dps fists (dont recommend unless you're retard wealthy cause those fists are STOOPID expensive, i think he dropped like 300m on each fist and they arent very common to find good ones either so you'd be searching pretty long if you wanted but it definately does look more cool to be unique) and it does pretty good on high mp surprisingly with the lower dam fists compared to a high dam skorn
So bells are very felixble in what you can do wit it gear wise, though skorns make you drop nukes with like 1 mil crits per bell.

good that someone finally decided to just write it out so people can stop askin "how do i build it" questions.
