Hi guys, I'd like to share my take on the "fire doctor", this is a fire based dmg witch doctor,with a combo of long/med/short range dmg skill set,also uses aoe/dmg over time(dot)/and single targ dps.
I wanted to change it up from the Zbears,the main dmg dealer comes from the same skill tree, but a different rune "explosive blast".This is our "aoe"and you doent have to be as close as the Zbears. We also use "pyrogeist"med range (dot) skill,
"searing locusts" as a close range(dot), and "flaming darts" long range for runners/single targs. So we have a few choices depending on the situation!
The last two skills are a escape with" Jaunt" , and a meat shield "burning dogs"

Skills

Left - Zombie charger- Explosive blast
Right- posion dart- flaming dart
1 - Locust swarm-searing locusts
2-Spirit walk- jaunt
3-Firebomb-pyrogeist
4-Summon dogs-burning dogs

passives

grue feast- for added dmg

grave injustice - reset our skills

vision quest - mana regen

Gear set

weapon- knife/sword- cc/soc/life steal - try to keep your aps @ 1.3- 1.7 , vq will keep you supplyed with mana

helm - zuni intel/%life/mama/cc

ammy -tal intel /cd/vita

bracers- lacuni intel/vita/cc

pants- depth diggers/blackthornes

mojo- thing of the deep - for the pick up radius

rings- zuni /hellfire/litany

belt- witching hour intel /res all

gloves- intel vita/res all / cc/cd

chest - zuni intel /vita/- melee dmg

shoulders - vile wards intel/vita/%life

boota -zuni /intel/res all/vita

follower

scoundrel

Buriza-do-kyanon or a chance to freeze x-bow

but .. the bears do like 5x the damage as that poor silly single shot doggie ...... o.O

:bonk: bears doent hit all targs in a 9 yard range , plz read the tool tips , before posting

the bears explode for poison damage .... dunno their explosion radius, but they also do damage to things that they charge THROUGH, which the exploding beast certainly cannot do....

sorry typo should read "explosive beast" , and get the $@#%@ outa my thread, they do fire dmg, you sir are the reason pll like me build these builds cuz you have no clue..

gj posting, always fun to check new builds

here's few comments:
a ) echanter merc with maximus (that 5% out of 25% firedmg should transfer right)
b ) I think the build has one attack skill too many, I think the poison dart isnt needed at all, pyro should be on left mouse, explosive beast on right mouse --> you should have plenty mana with just pyro every 6 seconds + vision quest to shoot the main attack, explosive beast
I would take on firedarts place either horrify stalker for runspeed or then soul harvest for more dps

sidenote: too bad all the fire skill items are such crab like magefist or axe of sankis :(

e: also if one could somehow fit 2 tal items in the build it would be cool but I understand it takes the full zuni to get manareg so perhaps its a bad idea

1 - i tryed out da chick , i coudn't tell if the small dmg increace was the AS r maximus
2- your off skills can be tweeked to your styple of game play, i some times drop the darts and add soul harvest, r ghost bomb/horrify-move speed for low lvl p=lvlin

ya the fire skill adds ,of weps/gear doent do much , since like you said " kinda bad items"

Wouldn't dire bats work more efficiently than explosive beast? retains fire damage and pierces, much lower cost too

Dire bats, i found that sometimes it only hit 1 targ, snaking bak and forth,missing half the pack, here its the "explosive beast" tool tip...thething about the WD is it can use many diff combo's to be effective not just bears
