After seeing some people trying out an 11ias dagger to reach 3.334 IAS bp with WW I had to try it out myself to compare the results

The weapons I used:

1+2 are my normal weapons

3+4 I bought for 91.5m total to test this with

All tests were done vs Azmodan on MP10, using a SOJ

My paper DPS with the combos were:

With mace MH/echo OH : 226k unbuff, 472k fully buff

With echo MH/11ias dagger OH : 186k unbuff, 383k fully buff

Times:

With weapons 1+2 : 48 seconds (2,896,000 eDPS)

With weapons 3+4 (Taken as average from 5 tests, best time was 50 seconds) : 52 seconds (2,673,000 eDPS)

So, the increased tick rate was not enough to overcome the difference in CHD and the average damage lost from my rare mace

Also did two additional tests:

With weapons 1+3 (To test 91 CHD loss vs OH dps gain) : 53 seconds (2,622,000 eDPS)

With weapons 1+2 but 2 was UNSOCKETED (To test 9 CHD loss, OH dps loss vs above test) : 55 seconds (2,527,000 eDPS)

So, heres some pros and cons comparing rare mace+ echo OH vs echo MH + 11ias dagger OH

Mace MH, echo OH

Pros: More DPS (Paper and eDPS), no RNG factors, OH WW/Frenzy hits are higher, less fear procs

Cons: More expensive, only way to get lifesteal from weapons is a rediculous expensive mace

Echo MH, 11ias dagger OH

Pros: Cheaper, more fury gain when ticking with dagger, Can get lifesteal on dagger (can get expensive though), if very rich you can get a 1200dps, 90+CHD, socket Echo MH and have huge DPS

Cons: less dps (Paper and eDPS), RNG factors, weaker tornado ticks, weak frenzy/ww hits with offhand, MORE FEAR PROCS, need minimum .24 echo (requires all 4*9%ias items to hit bp)

TLDR: Mace MH + ECHO OH is better most of the time, but more expensive

11ias dagger can be better if you have a very expensive echo MH, and can perform nearly as well without one for cheaper, but you have to factor in RNG and increased fear procs for farming

Personally I will be sticking with my combo and not looking back

Thanks for the info.

On a side note, I had imagine your mp10 azmo time will be faster.

Nice test! Appreciate the work done ^^

However, I would like to share some opinions.

With regard to this testing, we have to bear in mind that the testing specimens that u bought for 3 & 4 worth approx 90m, which is incomparable to the tier of your main weapon.

For 1&2 -
average damage from mh: 877
Average damage from both mh n oh: 758
Total cd from weapons: 355%

For 3&4 -
average damage from mh: 831
Average damage from both mh n oh: 629
Total cd from weapons: 262

In comparison, 1&2 have higher 93cd, 46average damage from mh n also a higher 128damage on average mh n offhand damage.
I doubt a higher breakpoint tick would be able to outweigh this difference.

Personally think that if we were to use another set of 3&4 that could lessen the differential, ie total cd of total 300%, n slightly higher average damage from mh, I would yield different results ^^
An example would be mine http://www.diabloprogress.com/hero/jayleo-6312/Hercules/19872277

yea me having a higher avg dmg echo would have helped, so really its about the same, but you still need to factor in low frenzy/ww hits from offhand, and increased procs from having EF mainhand

I prefer mace mh + echo oh combo :)
