• You really, really (,really) want the Ballistics passive. You do. Use it instead of Custom Engineering. CA:Maelstrom + Ballistics =
• If you don't play with the 4.15breakpoint for your sentries, you shouldn't use a 1h xbow.
(or 2.84bp with Calamity for parties etc.)

Consider going frost/fire build with pure rockets, better than the pure cold build, thanks to the rocket damage.
Use MS:Arsenal & Sentry:Spitfire with the mentioned Ballistics passive.
%fire on equip not needed, just stick with your %cold on bracers/amulet.

can you explain how the breakpoint please. I'm really confuse with that lol

Simply put, it's the attack break points, how often the sentries attack.

1.........1.102
2.........1.256
3.........1.459
4.........1.742
5.........2.160
6.........2.842
7.........4.154
The right number = Your attacks per second, you can see them in the details tab ingame.
Weapon attack speed * IAS from gear/paragon/etc. = APS

If you find Tasker & Theo gloves, multiply your APS * 1.X, X being the TnT value, with 43%TnT = *1.43 etc.

Pure damage:
Calamity/Nats 3pc @ 4.15 > 2h crossbow @ 2.84 > random 1h crossbow @ 4.15 > Etrayu/Kridershot @ 2.84 > 2h crossbow @ 2.16 or bow @ 2.84
The first 3 ones are quite hard to reach, require great TnT gloves and quite a lot IAS on gear.

Calamity @ 2.84 is hard to place. Good in party, solo... not that great.
Values with TnT gloves, without them, just use a decent 2h crossbow.

uh pretty sure 4.15 is impossible to hit

its general knowledge on this blizz forums if you have taskers you either go for the 2.16 bp (with slow xbow) or 2.84 with fast bow

only way id see it worth going to 2.84 with a slow xbow would be if you have a dex %dmg ias% one that u can gift

For 2.84 with 2h crossbow/4.15 1h crossbow %ias on weapon is needed. They both need pretty similar %ias on gear for that breakpoint.
Example for 4.15: With 50%TnT and a 7%ias 1h crossbow you need 61.7%ias on the rest of the gear
20% Quiver
10% Paragon
7% Witching Hour
7% Lacuni's
7% RoRG
7% Tasker
---
58 with bis stats without giving any up any stats. The gear requirement is just really, really high and ofc a very high paragon level.
1 more item with ias needed, you basically give up 2 stats (weapon+ring) for that breakpoint, you can have 3 items without max %ias rolls.
With worse TnT it's obviously very hard to reach. Quite a few of the top ranked players used a similar setup, 2h crossbow @ 2.84bp.
