better acceleration @ higher RPMS when u downshift a gear, try it in ur truck .. start at "1" and floor it at 4k RPMS

well if you are on the highway people cut you off etc downshift and rev them rpms up then slingshot up the next gear

and if you are circuit racing then you bet your ass you want to downshift on them corners

If u down shift from 4th to 3rd or 5th to forth ur motor wont take as long to get speed,If i pass some 1 i down shift before hand so the motor doesnt hesitate to get up and go.

go in whatever you have and take it to 70 mph, FLOOR IT
notice you feel a .. well shift and the rpms shoot up
down shift
even autos do it
