I feel like you shouldn't touch a diesel with issues if you've never worked on a diesel before.

But that's my opinion, go hard. Should be good learning experiance.

Well i mean I'm not completely unmechanical. I'm pretty good with cars, and never had a problem doing anything i wanted before.
I've also worked on the big diesel at work a couple times replacing parts.
The mechanics is not what i'm worried about, if it can be taken apart, it can be put back together.

Always trying to learn ^_^ , experience is the only thing that'll teach me. & i thought injectors weren't that hard, i mean, compared to other things.

Injectors on a gas engine are a snap (literally in most cases). In a diesel it's not quite as easy. You are talking about tens of thousands of PSI of fuel pressure and direct injection. It's more of a "It's expensive and you don't want to screw it up" issue.

There is a bit more to it than that. You have to know what you are looking for in the first place.

If you do get it here is a useful site:

http://www.intellidog.com/dieselmann/repair.htm

Pay extremely close attention to ALL torque specs. It's critical on injectors. No hand tight shit, no harbor freight torque wrench. It HAS to be right.

Know any reliable sites for parts ? I see alot of either cheap sites, or overpriced.

He also said the truck started running weird when he got some bad gas, so idk if they're ruined. But there is some mix out there you put in your oil and it's supposed to clean your injectors.
Supposedly it works, but im not sure if thats even the problem cause i havent checked it out. He should check it with a scanner if he didn't find out the problem that way.
