tell me, when has any mid-high end car shift faster and hit the revs better than a manual? cmon even the fwd gti is faster in an auto than manual
the only time when you ever would need a manual car is for the track. the chip in the car doesnt know what turn is coming hence you have to use a manual to slow down and downshift then hit the apex and then accelerate and shift up again. no automatic car would know how to do that.

auto is faster than manual but i would get so bored driving an auto...

I have much respect for all forms of motor sports but i honestly would be board as hell driving in a straight line all the time, or in a circle. Im sure i would enjoy the extreme acceleration if i ever got a chance to drive a real drag car but i know i would get board. I need braking, acceleration, and turns.


iv driven a vette with 500+ hp with an automatic and it was fun but like i said it gets old to me.

Imo it take real skill to be able to take a corner fast. U have to revmatch gears with heal-toe during downshifting into a corner, be able to keep control of the car in the corner at the limit of adhesion fighting the laws of physics, and be able to accel out of the corner at the fastest speed possible which is pretty hard if u cant master the first 2 things i mentioned, and u have to be able to powershift/quikshift which for some ppl is ez and comes naturally and some not so much.

u have to be able to combine all the skills and know when to do what in order drive a car at its fullest potential.

thats what im saying.. idc if its auto or not, if ur driving a vette with a 0-60 in 1.97 seconds id ont thnik your going to get bored when your body is implanted to the seat
