I have a 1998 Subaru Forester and am looking to put new speakers in the front and back because mine are blown to shit.
I found a website that says the front two are 6.5 inch and the back two are 4 inch.
Any help toward a new set that would sound good, for no more than 200$ (around 150 would be preferable) would be appreciated.

Also, would replacing them be something I could easily do myself, or would it be easier to just take it to a mobile music store to have them do it for me?
I also need to know any extra things that I need to do this (wires, adapters, etc. if any)

electrical tape
phillips screwdriver(+ shape in case you call it something else)

installing them is pretty simple. remove screws, remove old speaker, cut wires loose, attach wires to new speaker, put in new speaker, put in screws.

the only thing about the wire part is you don't want to let them touch each other or metal. as soon as you cut them loose put electrical tape around the exposed wire so it can't touch anything.

you can also pull you battery to avoid that but its easier just to take that 2 seconds to put tape on the cut wire until you're ready to hook it up.

well you can always invest in a single good set of speaker. those 4 inchers aren't really all that necessary. you could get a good set of 6.5 components@amp for about $200 if you want to go that way with it.

I'm not too worried about it, it's really just a daily driver that I'll be in for like 2 more years until I'm out of highschool I just like my music to not sound this absolute shit on blown speakers!

When I was in highschool, I was always blasting my tunes. If you were like me go with walmart speakers until you are ready to invest in some nice ones. They will all blow eventually unless you spend a lot of money

speaking of old subarus my 2000 outback has the original door speakers. I am looking forward to seeing how long they last I have had the car for about a year and a half, and they are not blown yet.
