Just got an 06 gto and looking to put in a system. I already have the subs and amp and front stage. Just looking for decent headunits. I've always liked kenwood for some reason but am looking at other ideas. Any suggestions?

kenwood or pioneer are the go to brands for head units.

what features are you wanting and what is your budget?

I completely agree, but I would add Alpine to the list as well.

Are you looking for a double-din or single-din

Probably looking more at a double din to make it more sleek, looking around maybe 400 since all i need is a headunit. Running 2 amps so will need the preouts for those.

I most certainly would not.

Kenwood and Pioneer are the only decent brands anymore.

/e 400 is your budget for a double din? Id hate to see the rest of your "build".

Alpine is decent, you just pay more to get the equivalent of the other brands.

Alpines technology is behind everyone elses. They were still doing 2v preouts when everyone else was doing 4v. They still don't have a clue on sub amps and offer a 1k rms @ 2 ohm when they sell d4 subs that take 500-600 rms which makes retarded sense.

Says the kid wanting to spend 400 bucks on a double din. Looks like your choices are low end brand name or high end no name.

Don't need high end, my goals aren't the same as yours obviously.
