Ranked Teams
What is the purpose of a ranked team and how do I create one?
The purpose of ranked teams is to give players a better means of organizing set groups for ranked play and to provide a more accurate read on their skill level as a whole. As a ranked team, players are seen as a single entity in the Ranked Team ladders under one name and Elo rating.

How will ranked teams affect the Season 2 Circuit?
Ranked teams is a training ground for improving your team's skills and preparing to compete in Prized Events. Therefore, the ladder will not be counted directly towards the Season Two Circuit; however, the Ranked Teams ladder can be used by tournament organizers to create seeding for their tournaments (especially for teams that have not earned Circuit Points).
How is team Elo calculated and what does that mean for matchmaking?
In ranked team competition your team’s Elo rating will reflect the performance of your team regardless of your individual performance. At its most basic level the Elo system is a method used for calculating the skill level of players in a head to head game. League of Legends uses a proprietary version of this system in order to place you against challenging opponents in a match.
There are many other factors at play when a match in League of Legends is being formed, but these are the basics of how the Elo system operates.
At its core, comparing the Elo rating of two teams will give you a rough idea of who is more likely to win a match. In the Ranked Team Queue, your rating will reflect your team’s performance as a single entity, and will not reflect your personal rating.
Once the match is complete, the winning players earn a number of points based on the expected result of the match, and the losing team loses that many points. The number of points exchanged is based on how heavily favored one team was over the other. A team that was heavily favored to win earns fewer points for a victory than an underdog team.
Does it cost RP/IP to create a ranked team?
