Pros:

~ Very Solid Laning Champion
~ Easy as 1/2/3 harass combo
~ Can 1v1 most champions if played correctly
~ Not based on mana
~ Decent chase / escape
~ Can rape with no attack items



Cons:

~ Solo lane is crucial
~ Certain characters will beat you
~ Considered underpowered along the lineup of Tanky Dps
~ Bound to push lane


Skills/Abilities

Reign of Anger (Passive): Renekton gains 5 Fury per autoattack. Having sufficient fury empowers Renekton’s abilities with bonus effects, but this drains Fury. When out of combat for 12 seconds, Renekton loses 5 Fury every 2 seconds.
When Renekton is below 50% health he generates 50% more fury.

Cull the Meek (Active): Renekton swings his blade dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and healing for 5% of the damage dealt up to a hard cap. Each target hit grants 5 Fury, up to 25. Heal amount is quadrupled against champions.
• When Renekton has 50 or more Fury he deals 50% additional damage and heals for 10% of the damage dealt, the healing hard cap is tripled. Consumes 50 Fury.
• Cooldown: 8 seconds
• Radius: 450 (estimate) / 550 in Dominus (estimate)
• Physical Damage: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+0.8 per bonus attack damage)
• Healing Hard Cap: 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150

Ruthless Predator (Active): Renekton’s next attack will swing twice dealing physical damage and stunning his target for 0.75 seconds. Each hit applies on-hit effects.
• When Renekton has 50 or more Fury his next attack will swing three times dealing physical damage and stunning his target for 1.5 seconds. Consumes 50 Fury.
• Cooldown: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 seconds
• Physical Damage: 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 (+0.75 per attack damage) per hit

Slice and Dice Slice (Active): Renekton dashes forward, dealing physical damage to targets along the way. If he hits a target he gains the ability to use Dice for 4 seconds.
• Dice (Active): Renekton dashes, dealing physical damage along the way.
• When Renekton has 50 or more Fury Dice deals 50% additional damage and reduces the armor of targets hit for 4 seconds. Consumes 50 Fury.
• Range: 550 (estimate)
• Cooldown: 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 seconds.
• Physical Damage: 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+0.9 per bonus attack damage)
• Armor Reduction: 15 / 17.5 / 20 / 22.5 / 25 %

Dominus (Active): Renekton empowers himself with dark energies, gaining increased size and health for 15 seconds. While empowered, he deals magic damage to nearby enemies and generates 5 Fury per second.
• Cooldown: 120 seconds
• Magic Damage: 40 / 70 / 100 (+0.1 per ability power) per second
• Health Gain: 300 / 450 / 600

Skill Order

Q > Between W and E is your preference and situational to the game.

If your team is already loaded with stuns, I would put more points in E since its hard to coordinate chain stuns anyways.
I usually like to rotate between W and E.


Masteries

There are several different set ups for Renekton
21/9/0

0/21/9


With certain set ups, you don't even have to go 21 down a mastery tree
I'm not going to add pictures of my masteries since you can do tons of different things

Just use common sense (don't put points into mana or smite mastery)

I personally use 21/0/9 because I play aggressive with Renekton (read laning phase and you'll see why)
I also like the leveling advantage


Runes

Red - Armor Pen
Yellow - Armor
Yellow - Health per level (option)
Yellow - Dodge (option)
Blue - Magic res flat and per level
Blue - Cooldown (option)
Quints - Armor Pen
Quints - Health (option)


Laning phase

You have one of the strongest harassing combos in the game. If you're laning against an AP (or any character thats not tanky DPS), you could potentially destroy your lane.

Once you hit level 3, you should have all 3 of your spells. Combo it up!
E (Dash in) W (Stun) Q (Rape face) E (Dash out)

Remember that your W procs 10 fury (since you hit twice) so if you can calculate your fury, your Q can have that extra "oomf" when you combo.

Use the bush (like Garen) to start zoning if your opponent is starting to stay back.
Even if you can't land your W, you could just Q around them. Since it costs no mana, you should be in decent shape.

There are multiple set ups you can start with.

Dorans shield, Cloth armor + 5 h pots, Boots + 3 hp pots, Health crystal (early recall for early heart of gold)

After that, build situational for your lane/game. If you're laning against a singed, get negatron cloak. If laning against cait, get Sunfire

If you are zoning them so hard that you are getting virtually no harass, get Brutalizer and play offensive

Renekton can faceroll with mainly tank items, but his damage lacks compared to other tanky dps.
I would suggest 2-3 attack items (preferably with a defensive stat at the same time)

Team fighting

It is best that you take the enemy carries out of the fight.
However, the biggest problem with Renekton is that he is kited too easily. Learn when to chase and when to come back to rest of the team fight.

You flourish in clusterfucks. Here is how to rape with Renekton in a team fight.

You have 3 AoE damage. The only single target is your W and its a stun. How fun.

Just have situational awareness.

Areas you can dash when you need to exploit your E.
Dark Red is Renekton jumps. The Red is Nidalee so ignore that.
Yellow circles are good places for wards

- Farm
- Win your lane
- Try to be there for early team fights (during lane phase, try to time your recall with dragon)
- Don't be dumb



Remember, you will not always faceroll. Characters like Teemo and other tanky dps is a good counter to Renekton.
Practice and go rape face.

Wonderful guide! This is exactly how I build Renekton! lol Unfortunately I don't really enjoy playing him :\

Quick note, you can exploit jumping through walls in other areas. Like the corners of the middle jungle entrances between the two turrets. If it matters to you I always love sliding through those walls and surprising someone, lol.

Edit: Though, I max out Q first. Any idea if this is a good idea? I find it lets me stay in the lane longer and it still does a fair amount of damage.
