Pwnage's Guide to the Roaming Alistar

Everything I put in RED are things you should always know about this build.

Glossary:
1.Summoner Abilities
2.Runes/Masteries
3.Champion skills
4.Build/What to prepare and look for
5.What to do in game

Summoner Abilities:

When i play roaming Alistar i generally will take
Flash and Ghost are an overall amazing setup you want to use.
I wouldn't suggest Teleport but sometimes you will get some people on your team that wont alter their summoner spells and get Teleport.
In that case, i will swap out Ghost with Teleport.

Later we will talk about the effectiveness and how to use your flash and ghost skills properly.

Runes/Masteries:

For my runes i like to have the Cool Down Reduction with a little
Magic Penetration and Health in my book. It's a pretty safe setup
that you can use in ranked/normal games. This is the setup i mostly use
when playing him obviously you can build how you feel. I have tried
going 9-21-0 for more of a tank spec but it really makes your roaming and ganking
much harder to do.

Specing into Utility allows you to get a nice amount of Cool Down reduction
as well as movement speed. While you run around a lot getting your 4
points into Awareness allows you to get that little extra Exp you're missing out on.
Greed is very nice too. While your team get most of the minions kills in their lanes
and you're running around (messing around with their jungle or trying to get
a gank or two in Greed gives you the extra 1 gold per 10 second
s!

Champion Skills:

Colossal Strength (Innate): Alistar deals 20 / 40 / 60 % additional damage to turrets.

Pulverize (Active): Alistar smashes the ground where he is standing, dealing magic damage to all enemies in the area he hit and tossing them into the air, stunning them for 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Area of Effect: 200.
Cost: 70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130 mana.
Magic Damage: 80 / 125 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+1 per ability power).

Headbutt (Active): Alistar charges at an enemy and rams them, dealing damage and knocking them back (it does not stun).
Cooldown: 12 seconds.
Range: 650.
Knockback Distance: 650
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana.
Magic Damage: 90 / 140 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+1 per ability power.)

Triumphant Roar (Active): Alistar lets out a commanding war cry, instantly restoring health to himself, and nearby friendly units for half of that amount. The cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds each time a nearby enemy unit dies.
Cooldown: 12 seconds.
Area of Effect: 200.
Cost: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 mana.
Heal: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+0.4 per ability power).

Unbreakable Will (Active): Alistar lets out a wild roar, removing all crowd control effects from himself. He also gains bonus physical damage and takes 75% reduced physical and magic damage for a few seconds.
Cost: 150 mana.
Cooldown: 120 / 100 / 80 seconds.
Duration: 6 / 7 / 8 seconds.
Bonus Damage: 60 / 75 / 90 .

I try to max my Q and my E first (Headbutt and Pulverize). Doing so Maximizes
your DPS and farming capability early game. I try to not level my W (heal)
too much unless i really need to for my team. But pick what skills you need
and what you feel is best for your situation in that game.

Build:

Alright lets talk about your item build. If they have a jungle then i pick up at level 1
Boots, Site Ward and a Mana Potion
. Some people think this is a very weird/dumb
combo to start with but it can help you get that extra gold with first blood on their jungle
and set him WAY behind.
Putting your ward near their blue/red is essential part to try and get the kill on him.
The boots give you the extra speed to catch them for your team to get the
killing blow. Remember with the boots at level 1 and your Swiftness you will be
extremely fast compared to everyone else :D

Because you're going to me roaming you want to be able to keep up on your
gold count. So rushing a Heart of Gold/Philosophers Stone would be the ideal thing to do.
If you end up getting first blood then you should always get your Boots of Mobility before
anything else.

My build generally ends up looking like this:
Slot 1: Shurelya's Reverie
Slot 2: Boots of Mobility
Slot 3: Aegis of the Legion
Slot 4: Heart of Gold (rarely get to turn it into a Randuin's Omen)
Slot 5: Banshees Veil/Sunfire Cape (Depends on their team i end up with Benshees most of the time)
Slot 6: I try to keep open for Site/Vision Wards

You build on what their team is composed of.
This build is pretty solid support build for him.

What to do in game:

First of all i always start bottom for reasons that don't need to be
explained :p

When you guys are going out to start before minions spawn Look to see what their
jungle is. If it's a Yi, they will probably be starting out at golem or wraiths.
If it's Warwick then he's probably at golem as well. Shaco without smite will
most likely be at blue to take that then go lane (pretty stupid).
Shaco with smite will probably be at their red. So lets assume it's a Shaco
with smite and they are starting at red.

Try and gather your team up and head over there before minions spawn.
Place the ward near their red buff spawn (the bush next to it would be ideal)
If he's not there then with all 5 of you there you can take it pretty fast and give
it to your jungle. That give your team the lead and possibly a first blood
.

If it was a successful move on your part if your jungle popped their Smite on their red to
down it faster go help him with your blue and head bottom.

Once you're level 2 or 3 you should try and sneak away to middle. Try and coordinate
a gank with you and your jungle if that's possible
. If you can't get any kills off anyone
try and keep them harassed so they are afraid to push out on to your towers.
Make sure to try and keep up level wise with everyone. Cover a lane solo when you can!
It's mainly early/mid game when this is most effective.

When you your team starts to Team Fight then you always want to be spamming your heal on your team
and knocking away the people you want our of the fight (fed DPS or tanks like Amumu)
Remember to use your Shurelya's Reverie When escaping or moving around in Team Fights,
if you don't then it makes the item pointless.

Armor and magic resist runes > Health
Allows his heal to be more effective.
Also, 1 point Q and W. Max E first with R when you can.

First of all, E is heal, not W. Second of all, you definitely should rush sheen.
