Last night I played a 7 round Standard GPT and took first place winning 20 packs, Judge foil Imperial Recruiter and of course 3 bys for GP KC.

I am debating playing UWR Twin, but not exactly sure if that is the deck I should be playing.
In play testing it destroys Melira Pod, which I think is going to be the most popular deck now that Voice pushed that deck over the edge.

Thoughts?

You know what has a good melira pod match up? RG tron. Scapeshift also used to be pretty favored, but voice makes the match up a lot closer.

It is sort of a Rock, Paper, Scissors format at the moment.

Just trying to think what would be the best deck to play starting the tournament as 3/0 without having to face the "jungle".

Yeah, but I feel like scapeshift can evolve just a little to really do well against pod once again. Chain reaction is pretty strong against voice+tokens, because you get hella mana anyway I've been testing a little bit of cyclonic rift, still undecided on how good it actually is.

You could also just try a r/g scapeshift deck with primetimes and infernos and summoning traps out of the board (or in the main) and stuff. Seems like it could outrace tron and beat melira by having some good hate+bigger dudes fast. Could even splash black for slaughter games/rakdos return :O

Why would you play chain reaction when all their important creatures have 2 toughness? Do you even play modern?

Yes I do, and I play it for the voice tokens so I can cast all the remands/cryptics I want and not give a fuck about how many tokens they get. I still play pyro ofc, just also have 2x chains for beeg dudes.

I showed up at PTQ without playing modern at all with uwr twin and dominated.

I feel like the deck is good against an unknown field because it has all the disruption and a strong win condition.

Would play again.
