eh i dont think hes that great.

Yeah I think he is significantly worse than 2.0.

You would probably have to focus on some kind of mill deck to make it work well.
or maybe heavy counters/protect him so he can deck you by himself over a few turns. But that is pretty slow.

drawing a couple cards over several turns isnt exactly gamebreaking @ 5cc.

Great news as a legacy player that j2 got banned in standard, finally the card is more affordable.

money shouldnt be your big issue when play competive legacy,

@cambo

I dont think hes going to see any play outside of type 2. Milling someone is a bad strategy anyways, unless its a combo like painter's servant grindstone or something.

I don't care he's horrid. I'll play with him for fun. Thank god he'll be alot cheaper than 2.0.

Unless we get Traumatize back, then milling will be horrid after rotation. Sure, no more Eldrazi, but no more allies or Archive Trap either.

milling was just bad in standard for quite a while now, like stated above, grindstone was what really made decks

The new Jace isn't that great because he costs five.He'll be damn good in limited though.He'll probably see play in standard,but only used for his first ability most likely.Unless they spoil other mill cards.

They already spoiled one that might be alright depending on what's printed in Innistrad. U, draw one, draw 3 instead if a certain number of cards are in a graveyard.

Doesn't make new Jace any better though. Just not efficient for the cost no matter what is printed.
