Someone playing on an account that is rated lower than their "real" skill level.

IE. Someone with a 1900 account who is playing on a 1600 account.

Only reason they do it is to have an account with like 5 kdr so they can brag about being "good" in the 1500's.

a smurf is a dumpster who can't break 1500 and makes new account thinking that he is good
they usually call mid, fail and then ragequit blaming the team for their incompetence
